SILVERFISH
Silverfish have their ways.
During the last few days
a silverfish lies on the bathroom wall,
immobile
seemingly purposeless.
Suddenly it disappears.
Days later, a silverfish reappears.
Maybe the ultimate introvert,
with ultimate purposelessness?
Having no charm,

no evidence of harm
we stay calm.

Silverfish: “I like this anthropomorphic reference. I like the rhyme.” – Patti M. Walsh, author of Ghost Girl
